They can refuse to give a car to a person under 20, charge more if you are under 24 and so on. It will take some time to find an appropriate company and explore the different deals it offer. Pay special attention to the insurance they provide and of course to the cost. The cost may include the liability coverage (it covers you in case you damage another car), collision coverage (covers rental car for the damage), taxes. Sometimes there is a mileage limit for the chosen area; you will pay extra for exaggerating it. While making a booking you have to ensure:
- you are over the required age limit
- you haven’t gotten any fines or tickets over the last year and your driving license is clean and full
- have your own credit card
Sport equipment rental
When you are going to try out a new kind of sport and decide until you decide that it is good for you, there is no need to buy all required equipment, just rent it. For example, skiing, once you are sure you will spend enough time on the slopes, you can buy your own ski equipment (which is usually expensive). The same works for bicycles, tents, inflatable boats, surf etc.
You can rent from local specialized shops or on-line. There is an option: to rent items individually or in package. Price depends on the place you are going to rent from and the length of renting period.
