| Skiing | Making ski trips is a tradition among the students in US. Travel with your friends to the main ski resorts. Best ski locations are in California, Colorado and Utah. It doesn’t matter either you are an old pro in skiing or just a beginner, it’s easy to find destination for everybody. Imagine yourself hitting the slopes at day time and having deserved relaxation with a cup of hot chocolate after that. But be careful! Mountains can be fraught with some danger. We will try to help you to avoid it.
Main skiing tips: 1. You will enjoy skiing more being in a good shape. Major factor of ski injuries is bad body shape. It is better to do some stretching exercises aimed at hips before setting off to the ski trip.
2. Take some classes from the professional trainer and listen carefully to his instructions. It is proved that trained skiers get injured rarely. Rely less on friends’ teaching advises, better use a certified ski instructor.
3. Choose the right size of the skiing outfit. Check your equipment before wearing. Remember that new generation of bindings may considerably reduce your chances of been injured.
4. Don’t forget to wear ski goggles. They reduce the wind, snow and glare and make the visualization better.
5. Remember that it will be snow everywhere and of course it will be cold. Put on layers of warm clothes, hat, and gloves. And helmet – it is obligatory!
6. Follow the rules. Do not go off-trail. Pay attention to all the notices about trail closure and other warning signs. They have reasons to stay there.
7. Go skiing with friends. It is great if you watch each other. Arrange a place for meeting in case you will get separated.
8. Do not approach the ski trails of higher level.
9. Beware of the chair lifts. Before you get on the chairlift, check either you have all your equipment with you. Wait in the loading area, until it will be your turn to board the chairlift. Watch over your shoulder for the next chairlift to come. When you get off the chairlift, ski to the side not to be on the way of the upcoming chairlifts.
