Scuba Diving

If you want to try something unusual and new consider Scuba Diving. Here you can find basic information about it, what it implies, as well as some advices, tips and trifles.
Scuba Diving
scuba-divingScuba Diving is a kind of sport which consists in swimming underwater with special equipment. It gives a great chance to see very beautiful sites: colorful life of corals, underwater caverns and most unusual fish. It is both exiting and relaxing sport. Besides, it is never late to start, this is a really beginner friendly pastime.

There is no need to be a good swimmer for being a good diver (don’t be scared at least to try it). Before starting to try scuba diving, you have to be taught diving by an experienced instructor. The main thing you should cope with is buoyancy, so that there were neither sinking no floating. Instead, you have to be able to swim along. As a first-time diver you will learn how to dive in open water. Due to the safety concerns, you have to be trained and certified in order to be insured for medical treatment you may need after a dive.

scuba-divingScuba diving tips:
- Never dive by yourself. It will be safer and more interesting to dive with a buddy.
- Do not overload yourself
- Familiarize yourself with main diving rules and try to follow them.
- Sun rays penetrate deep into water, so wear a waterproof sunscreen, to protect your skin from sunburning.
- Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. Make surface intervals when you’re dehydrated. After a 35 or 40 minute surface interval your can return diving.
- If you are inclined to motion sickness, take some sea sickness tablets before leaving to dive.
- Do not touch anything under the water! It is the most important rule for divers. Some underwater inhabitants are toxic.
- Move slowly while staying in the water. Many marine creatures are sensitive and shy. Slow moving brings few benefits: reduces air consumption (so, makes the diving period longer) and produce less noise.
- Use inflate and deflate valves with patience and remember to swim horizontally (swim head up and you will go up, swim head down – you will go down).
- Do not hold your breath.
- Do not push dive limits.
- Find out about weather forecast day before diving.
